Project description

Solarigo is constructing a utility-scale 6 MW / 13.5 MWh battery energy storage system in Pertunmaa, designed to enhance grid flexibility and support the integration of renewable energy into the local electricity network. The project is developed by Solarigo Oy, with Solarigo Systems Oy acting as the EPC contractor. Solarigo Systems has been responsible for the project’s development and engineering from the very beginning and will oversee construction and commissioning.

The battery energy storage system enables fast-response participation in reserve markets, peak shaving, and the optimization of renewable energy production. In addition, an 8.8 MWp solar park is planned alongside the storage facility, forming an efficient hybrid energy park once completed. Solarigo has prior experience in delivering hybrid energy projects, including the Honkisaarenneva project in Kuortane and the Callio project in Pyhäjärvi.

The Pertunmaa project demonstrates Solarigo’s capability to design and deliver profitable energy storage and hybrid solutions in a cost-efficient manner in Finland. We provide full balance-of-plant (BoP) works and turnkey battery energy storage system deliveries.
