Sustainability and quality at Solarigo
Sustainability
Sustainability and quality are embedded in everything we do at Solarigo. Our policies, processes and commitments guide the way we design, source and deliver solar energy solutions.
What we do
We make solar an investment you can trust. Our sustainability work includes tracing the origin of solar panels, auditing supply chains, and continuously improving environmental and labour practices throughout the value chain.
Sustainability and quality guide everything we do
At Solarigo, quality and sustainability go hand in hand. Our work is guided by established processes, measurable targets and a commitment to continuous improvement. Sustainability at Solarigo means concrete actions and everyday practices that are embedded in our daily operations.
As part of the Suur-Savon Sähkö Group, our sustainability work is based on the same principles, objectives and requirements as those of our parent company.
As a leading solar energy company, however, Solarigo has also identified key sustainability topics that are particularly important to our business. We focus especially on:
- Supply chain transparency
- Environmental impact
- Working conditions and safety
Our sustainability priorities
01 A supply chain that stands up to scrutiny
The solar power supply chain is global and complex. Responsibility cannot be assumed — it must be verified.
Verification takes place through audits, which assess areas such as working conditions, working hours and production processes. We also work primarily with trusted suppliers and partners whose sustainability performance, quality and customer service have been thoroughly evaluated.
We follow the Group’s sustainability principles throughout our procurement processes. We require suppliers to commit to ethical business practices and codes of conduct. We do not accept forced labour or child labour at any stage of the supply chain.
Solar panels
- We trace the origin of solar panels throughout the supply chain, all the way to polysilicon production.
- Independent third-party audits are conducted directly at manufacturing facilities.
02 The benefits and limitations of environmental impact
Solar energy reduces emissions during operation, but its production and deployment also have environmental impacts.
Our environmental work is guided by both our own environmental management system and the shared sustainability targets and policies of the Suur-Savon Sähkö Group.
We pay particular attention to:
- Land-use impacts
- Biodiversity
- The use of materials and natural resources
How we address environmental impacts
- We are committed to the Group’s climate targets.
- We design projects according to the principles of sustainable land use.
- We continuously improve our operations based on our environmental policy and objectives.
03 People and safety
Safe working conditions and fair employment practices are fundamental to everything we do.
Our approach is guided by the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, as well as the shared principles and requirements of the Suur-Savon Sähkö Group.
Within our own operations:
- We manage occupational safety systematically.
- We continuously develop and strengthen our safety culture.
Throughout the supply chain:
- We require fair and legally compliant employment practices.
- We require suppliers to monitor and manage their own value chains.
- We expect safe working conditions.
04 Commitments, quality and governance
Our operations are guided by certified management systems and the shared sustainability framework of the Suur-Savon Sähkö Group.
Certified management systems:
- ISO 9001 – Quality Management
- ISO 14001 – Environmental Management
- ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management
These systems help us to:
- Define responsibilities and operating procedures
- Monitor quality, safety and environmental performance
- Continuously improve our operations through a systematic approach
As part of the Suur-Savon Sähkö Group:
- We are committed to the Group’s climate targets.
- Our sustainability performance is reported as part of the Group’s sustainability reporting.
