For data centers
Solar PPA for Data Centers
Add Finnish solar power to your data center’s energy mix – on site or from a utility-scale solar park.
What we offer
Solar electricity for data centers through a long-term power purchase agreement. On-site or off-site – based on your location, electricity use and procurement strategy.
Finnish solar power generated for energy-intensive needs
Planning electricity procurement for a data center means balancing long-term energy costs, renewable electricity sourcing and the needs of a facility that operates continuously. Solarigo helps data center developers, operators and energy advisors assess how Finnish solar power could fit into that mix.
You can source solar generation from a plant at or near your site through an on-site solar PPA, or from a Finnish utility-scale solar park through an off-site solar PPA.

Off-site solar PPA
Source solar power from utility-scale solar park in Finland
An off-site solar PPA links your electricity procurement to generation from a utility-scale solar park in Finland. The agreement defines the price, volume, duration and how the contracted electricity is settled.
Solarigo develops, delivers and operates utility-scale solar projects in Finland. We bring a producer’s perspective to the PPA: our work spans the project lifecycle, including the operation and maintenance of solar assets.
On-site solar PPA
Generate solar power at or near your data center site
An on-site solar PPA may be an option when a suitable location is available at or near your data center. Electricity generated by the solar plant can be used at the site when it is produced.
Solarigo can assess the site’s solar potential and discuss a PPA structure for the project. The plant’s size and role depend on the available space, technical conditions and your electricity use.
Discuss the options
We’ll discuss your requirements and help identify which option – or combination of options – could suit your project.
Off-site, on-site, or combination?
01
Off-site
Suitable to explore when:
You want to source solar generation beyond your data center site
You are evaluating a long-term agreement for part of your electricity procurement
You want to connect your procurement strategy with Finnish solar generation
02
On-site
Suitable to explore when:
Your site has suitable rooftop, ground or nearby space
You want to assess local solar generation as part of your energy strategy
A long-term electricity agreement fits your procurement approach
03
Combination
Can both options work together?
An on-site solar plant and an off-site PPA can be considered as parts of the same electricity procurement strategy. Whether a combined structure makes sense depends on your sites, consumption profile, project feasibility and commercial requirements.
Solar generation varies with weather and time of day. A solar PPA is one part of the data center’s wider electricity supply strategy; it does not by itself provide continuous power.
A solar PPA partner from development to operation
We are the only partner in Finland that handles project development, engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) deliveries, technical and commercial management, and electricity sales of solar parks with an own in-house team.
For data center operators
Deal directly with the solar producer.
If you manage energy procurement directly, speak with Solarigo about the project and PPA structure.
As the IPP developing and operating the solar asset, we can give you a clear view of the project, terms and responsibilities.
For data center developers
New generation needs a project that can be delivered.
Solarigo has multiple utility-scale solar projects in development in Finland.
We can discuss project status and timing, including requirements for recently commissioned generation—for example, a commissioning window of no more than 36 months.
For energy advisors and procurement partners
If you advise on or manage energy procurement for a data center, speak with our team about Finnish solar projects, development pipeline and PPA options.
We can support your assessment and work alongside you and your client.

How to start exploring a solar PPA for your data center
01 Tell us about your project
Share the location, project stage, electricity needs and procurement goals.
02 Assess the possible structures
We discuss whether on-site solar, an off-site PPA or a combination could be relevant.
03 Explore the commercial terms
We assess the potential contract volume, duration, pricing structure and allocation of responsibilities.
04 Define the next steps
If there is a potential fit, we agree what is needed to assess or develop the project further.
