Project description
Solarigo is developing an approximately 6 MW solar power plant in Nivala, Finland. The electricity generated will be supplied to a biogas plant under construction in the area through a long-term power purchase agreement. Solarigo has acquired the development rights for the solar project from Skarta Energy.
The solar power plant will cover approximately seven hectares adjacent to the Kurunpuhto industrial area. The electricity generated will be supplied directly to the biogas plant through its own grid connection.
The PPA enables the biogas plant to benefit from locally generated solar electricity without having to invest in its own solar power plant. Solarigo will be responsible for the construction and electricity generation throughout the agreement period.
