Project description

Along Kuljuntie in Juva, a solar power plant occupies an area of approximately seven hectares. Construction of the solar park commenced in June 2023 and was completed in December 2023. The park generates approximately 4,500 MWh of solar electricity annually, equivalent to the electricity consumption of the Juva municipality. The municipality of Juva buys guarantees of origin from the park in an amount corresponding to its electricity consumption, which means that the municipality’s electricity needs are practically covered by solar electricity from Juva.

Development

JThe municipality of Juva entered into a 25-year land lease agreement with Solarigo, marking the first concrete step towards realizing the solar park project developed by Solarigo.

Construction

The first test piles were mounted in the soil of the Juva municipality solar park in May 2023. Construction began in June 2023.

Q4/2023

Production

Juva municipality’s solar park was connected to the grid in December 2023, ready to produce solar electricity in Juva municipality for the next 25 to 40 years.

Q2/2024

Opening ceremony

The municipality of Juva organized a naming contest for its solar park, as a result of which the park was named “Soljuva”. The new solar park was celebrated with a meal of soup and coffee, as well as an opportunity for residents of the municipality and the park’s constructors to get to know each other.
