Project overview
Solarigo Systems Oy is exploring the potential for constructing a solar power park in Pyhäjärvi within the Olcconen Green Industrial Area. The site is strategically located near key transport routes, including National Road 27 and the Iisalmi–Ylivieska railway line.
The planned Olcconen Solar Park will produce approximately 30 GWh of renewable solar electricity annually, which can be utilized by future industrial operators within the area. The area under review covers approximately 52 hectares, and the designed capacity of the solar park is 42 MWp.
Project progress
Q3/2023
Development
The Municipality of Pyhäjärvi and Solarigo signed a cooperation agreement to develop the solar park adjacent to the Olcconen industrial zone. The area consists mainly of unused field-like land not currently in agricultural use.
Q2/2024
Land Lease Agreement
The land lease agreement for the solar park site was signed in May 2024.
Q4/2024
Permitting and Environmental Assessments
The permitting process began in autumn 2024. A prior ecological survey conducted for industrial zoning has been supplemented with additional assessments as needed. An application for a land use planning decision was submitted in December 2024. The building permit application will follow upon approval.
