SOLAR PARK
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Suur-Savon Sähkö group is building an 8 MWp solar power park in Pertunmaa, with the aim of establishing a research, development and innovation center related to production, utilization and storage of solar energy. Solarigo Systems Oy is the designer and EPC constructor of the solar park, and project company Järvi-Suomen Aurinko Oy is the owner. The park will be built in Pertunmaa, Kuortti area.
In the project, to support future research, an interface will be created in the panel field to share the data it produces with external stakeholders. Educational institutions and expert organizations can use the data to develop solar electricity industry in Finland. The solar park is intended to illustrate several technical solutions for optimizing the production of solar electricity. The goal is also to develop different battery solutions, electrical energy storage playing an important role in the project.
Lumme Energia is responsible for selling the solar electricity produced by the park.

Suur-Savon Sähkö mapped suitable solar park areas for its owner municipalities. A location in Pertunmaa's expanding industrial center was seen as a potential area.
An investment support of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment's New Energy Technology Demonstration Projects was applied for in the fall of 2022.
