SOLAR PARK
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Solarigo Systems Oy plans to build a solar park of about 3.5 to 7 hectares in Paltamo, south of the train station in the area of the old sawmill in Luttusenniemi. The total output of the solar park will be from 2.5 to 5 MWp, and it will be built with a maximum of 9,200 solar panels. The electricity produced by the solar park is sold directly to the electricity grid. The area is an old industrial area owned by Paltamo municipality.

The municipality of Paltamo investigated the interest of solar park project developers in properties owned by the municipality. Discussions between Solarigo Systems Oy and the municipality of Paltamo began in 2023. Solarigo became interested in the area of the old sawmill and began to conduct a preliminary examination of the area.

The municipality of Paltamo signed a 40-year land lease agreement with Solarigo Systems Oy for a 9-hectare area south of the municipal center, in the area of the old sawmill, for construction of a solar park.
