PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Kannuksen Hietakangas Oy, a subsidiary of wind power comapny Puhuri, is constructing the group's first solar power park in Kannus, Hietakangas. Solarigo Systems Oy is responsible for the overall EPC delivery of the solar park. After completion, the solar power park to be built in Hietakangas will consist of 8,784 double-sided solar panels. The solar park will be built on a decommissioned airport. Electricity transmission is carried out via two 33 kV substations with underground cables to the substation of the Kaukanen wind park owned by Puhuri's subsidiary. The designed service life of the park is 30 years. The park's construction permit is legally binding and it will be built on land owned by Kannus Hietakangas Oy.

Choosing a partner
Puhuri was looking for a partner for the implementation of its Kannus solar power plant project. Solarigo pays a visit to the project site in Kannus. Solarigo was selected a EPC constructor for the solar park in August 2023.

PROGRESS OF THE PROJECT
Land transfers
Solarigo started the preparatory work and land transfers in the area. The solar park was built on top of an airport, which was built on top of an old lake bed. It was necessary to build drainage in the area.

Mounting system installation
