HARTOLA
SOLAR PARK

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Solarigo Systems Oy is studying the conditions for constructing a solar power park in Soimasuo, Hartola, approximately 13 kilometers southwest of the municipal center. The area under study is approximately 96 hectares in size, for which Solarigo has signed land lease agreements with the landowners in the area. The project area consists mainly of a former peat bog that is used for agriculture. The project aims to build an industrial solar park with an output of approximately 75 MWp, which would consist of approximately 125,000 solar panels. The investment value of the project is approximately 41 million euros.

Solarigo has begun conducting key studies for the project's permitting and has commissioned a habitat and vegetation study for the area. The area will also examine important or potential habitats for protected and endangered species and other noteworthy species.

Once the studies are complete, Solarigo's goal is to apply for a design requirement solution for the solar park from the municipality, after which a building permit will be applied for. The solar park could be in production in 2026 at the earliest.

If implemented, the project will have a local employment impact during construction, for example in the earthmoving and electrical sectors. In addition, the municipality will receive income from the solar park in accordance with the power plant tax. The economic life of the solar park is approximately 35–40 years.
